More reasons:

An
important reason justifying a small initial charge is so that we can be sure all the advertising material we carry is not only genuine but is current. This is vital if any service of this kind is to prove useful in the long run.

By paying a small sum to advertise houses, you will also be sponsoring our business. It offers up to date house-availability information, not only in an organized, but in a professionally managed way. A significant amount of time has been spent in the development and testing of this specialist online service using valuable experience gained from the estates sector itself. Development and testing is also an ongoing process.

Free sites can’t offer this to the same extent as they are not managed in this way.

Both inaccurate and out-dated information tends to become widespread on these.

Estate agents habitually use such sites, both for prospecting, as well as for marketing property.

With free sites, percentage commission generally does get charged, somewhere along the line!

Such sites simply add confusion, by blurring the estate agent's business model, into the online-only one.

Finally

Not a lot of people know this but ...

We are the first and probably the only property marketing web site to broadcast information about ongoing political lobbying.  This is information, which is not generally well known, but the Government has been lobbied to do away with the right of individuals to offer houses for sale directly, anywhere.

Yes we are absolutely serious!

We decided to publish this in Oct 08, since we understand that privately commissioned lobbyists have been calling for the Government to make regulations to the effect that all sales of houses should be conducted only by accredited estate agents. The newspapers don’t appear to be onto in this story yet.

If house-owners, do nothing it will become increasingly probable that they will loose their rights forever.  Once that happens house-owners will be required to engage an estate agent when selling of letting; whether they like it or not.  Given the general lack of respect people have for estate agents, this would clearly not be in most people’s interest, and therefore would not be democratic.

Who else is currently talking about this?  We'd certainly be interested to hear and debate it publicly.

We also feel that people should question why more private advertising web sites like ours are not raising this important issue.  We think the news media should check this out because such a loss of individuals' rights to market privately would be an absolute travesty for home-owners.

By paying for the use of our direct online marketing service, you’d be exercising your wish to retain your right to sell or let your house privately.  You would be actually doing that by using Property-Match.

We want to alert you to these issues, in order that you can help resist such changes before it is too late?

Could the Internet come to the help of the many in this instance?  We happen to believe so - yes.

The service we offer our clients is unique on the Internet.

By paying a small fee, you'll also help to stop this web site from becoming cluttered with spurious commercial advertising, so helping to provide a much more rewarding online property-marketing experience ~ for everyone.

We hope the above explains why we request a small payment from clients when placing property adverts.

At the end of the day you usually get what you pay for.

Free services may look exciting but in the final analysis; they are actually worthless.

Having read this, if you would like to ask us any further questions about how we operate, we'll be glad to hear from you and will respond in person.
